A simple bench can be constructed from driftwood and two concrete blocks if your heart desires. One way to get increased plant productivity is to purchase organic soil amendments and conditioners.
If you want to plant in November, you can just be sure you do this before the first frost penetrates the soil. An important consideration is whether the succulent comes from a wet or dry area, the soil it is used to, and whether there is a lot of rainfall or very little. Gardening tools today are made with fiberglass handles and padded handgrips.
Organic materials hold the water longer, which is better for the plants. However, some annuals grow better when sown as seeds directly in the ground. Start composting your garden waste and kitchen wastes, if you haven't already done so.
